In addition to the large number of practice questions, the concepts at the beginning of the book is very well written. I, as a parent often find myself understanding the material, but when I tried to explain it to my child, it becomes difficult. The explanations in this book are logical and easy to comprehend. My son is preparing to take the IAAT to get into Algebra I in 7th grade. He is strong in math, but I was looking for an engaging product with lots of practice problems to help him continue to improve. From the moment he saw the cover he became more motivivated. The word problems are creatively written to keep his attention, or at least as much as he could hope for from a math text. I was also impressed by the sheer size of the book. My son has large hand writting to go with his large personallity and having extra space through out the book was great for getting him to work out all the problems. It made it much easier to find his work when we went over his mistakes together after we checked each section.
